Select the Custom Shape Tool.

Making sure you have the Nature collection open, grab leaf #6.

Drag the the shape out on your canvas to create the leaf. You may notice that your newly budded greenery has taken on the colours of your berries - fear not! Just delete those pesky layer styles.

Select the Move Tool and make sure Show Transform Controls is selected. Adjust and rotate the leaf to fit in with the berries. You’ll also probably need to drag the leaf layer below the berries (but keep it above the candy canes!)

Duplicate the leaf and adjust it to fit the other side.

Go into Blending Options. Once again, add a drop shadow:

An Inner Glow, this time with a dark green.

And finally, a reflected Gradient Overlay. Adjusting the angle will be the trickiest part, you want the dark line to run parallel to the leaf.

Once you have one side done, copy that layer style and past it on to the other leaf. The only thing you probably will need to change is the angle of the Gradient Overlay.

And there is your candy cane, all dressed up for Christmas!

If anyone tries out this tutorial, I’d love to see the finished result. Just post a link to it and I’ll be happy to take a look, maybe even put it up on the site! :)
In the meantime,

Stay tuned! I might be able to get more Holiday tutorials in before the Season is over!
