to use the .pat file – right click save as / make sure you have .pat extension / in photoshop select paint bucket / on top toolbar choose pattern / click icon / click arrrow / load pattern / choose downloaded .pat file
Great pack/tut.
Im trying to make my own…And i have it! The only probelm is that, when i use it…Something is just not right.
It would be great if i could send you it and you can see whats wrong or it would be even better if you could just mail me or something a decently thick stripe…Thanks Alot !
Hi Gregor – yeah sure! I’ll see if I can give you a hand, email me the files at flammula (AT) gmail (DOT) com.
Do you want me to send you a .jpg or the .pat or what ?
Gregor – Just the pattern should be fine, maybe even the PSD file you were working on.
Email Sent
…Thanks Alot Man !
Hey, thanks a lot. I’ve been learning to “deal” with my photoshop program. This is a nice freebie
. Thanks!!
Hey,
Thanks for the patterns! Is it possible to change the color of the stripes?
Sure is! The easiest way is just to add a colour overlay using Blending Options.
Hi again, im trying to make a certain pattern and it is pretty similar to this and thought you could help me .. Its a pattern from a theme of a phone “Sony Ericsson W660i” It is just like the stripes but rounded. I would be greatfull if you could help me.
Hey Gregor – sure, I’ll take a look! Do you have a specific picture or something I could see?
http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f382/11pam11/dsdsdsdsdsds.jpg
That is basically what i want but much more profesional looking and as a pattern, I just made this in like 1 min thats why its soo terrible
.. Thanks alot
I’m still not quite sure what you mean about turning that image into a pattern – I looked up Sony Ericsson W660i but I can’t see the pattern you’re looking for. Do you perhaps have the original image?
Were you looking for curved lines being repeated across horizontally?
It might be easier if you email me again.
Although I am actually super-busy this week (that’s actually a bit of an understatement!), so I might not be able to take a look at this for a little while!
Its ok im not in a rush – Its very hard to see the pattern on the phone its very faint but its like the half circle repeats verticaly if you know what i mean …
yeah, i found this tuts
thanks

Many thanks, photoshop ready as well what more can i ask for.
Thank you so much, I was trying to do this myself earlier but kept phailing. I had the right idea, I guess (putting black at the edges to smooth it out), but I couldn’t quite get the measurements right. >__
YOU ROCK! Thanks! You are a hero to many photoshop users! You should run for president or nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize! You made it beyond easy… you did the work for us. If you couldnt tell, Im very thankful….
Thank you for the guide; I never was one to make diagonal lines properly.
I downloaded diagonals and was very happy with the outcome except it has caused a glich with the rest of Adobe Elements 6.0.
For now in need to purge this download so that i can finish my project. How can i identify the download? Thanks, Terry
Terry – I actually don’t have Adobe Elements 6.0 so I’m not too sure how to help. Have you tried deleting the diagonal pattern file from your computer (the one you downloaded?)
Thank you so much… So great!
[...] what the site i found out how to do it from is at but this might help. if not i’ll look for it :] Thick Diagonal Lines and Stripes in Photoshop [...]

Thanks for checking with me first, go ahead.
Ok, thanks.
Do you want the link to where I uploaded them?
Yeah sure! That’d be cool.
Ok.

How do you use the patterns after you downloaded them?
O.o;
Thanks for your help, in advance!
:3
This is great, exactly what I was looking for, thanks =)
Hey guys,
Awesome post… Thanks so much!!!
This might be a very stupid question but i cant seem to change the colour of the stripes… when using colour overlay from blendmodes the whole layer takes on the color if i turn down opacity only the none-lined areas change color..black lines stay black…
how do i go about this please?
thanks?
Thank you so much for these! I have tried putting together diagonal patterns by rotating pinstripes and that doesn’t work so well for backgrounds. These will be a great help!
Love your site and your banner!
thanks so much for the download, saved me a tedious job
Thank you for the info sir!
Wow this is awesome friend, thank you for sharing.
Thanks man, I thought I would have to run Autocad to get these hatches. Thanks god it wasnt necessary..
[...] 3. Before jumping straight to the background, I decided to add a bit of little decorations, if you will, to complement the text. For the list items, I added arrow bullets in orange so it’ll stand out from the gray. Plus, it makes it more obvious that this is a list. I also added an orange bar next to “First General Meeting” and some diagonal lines so it would pop since that’s my second most important bit of info. For the diagonal lines, I just created a new canvas, filled it with a diagonal pattern, and used the rectangular selection tool to copy and paste a part of the pattern. You can download some diagonal line patterns here. [...]
thanks so much for the download
